“Estamos en el proceso de actualización y socialización del reglamento de propiedad intelectual del Tecnológico de Antioquia, dándolo a conocer para empezar a practicar las políticas que están planteadas en el mismo”, anunció el director de Investigación del TdeA, Fabio Alberto Vargas Agudelo.
Para el efecto, el directivo destacó la creación del Comité de Propiedad Intelectual, adscrito a la Secretaría General, conformado por el Rector, el Secretario General, el Director de Investigación, el Director Administrativo y Financiero y el asesor en propiedad intelectual, el cual se encargará de revisar las políticas, aplicabilidad del reglamento y tomar medidas de protección en caso que se requiera de la producción que se vaya generando alrededor de la Institución Universitaria.
El centro de estudios superiores se ha venido poniendo a la orden del día desde mediados del 2017 en este aspecto, de la mano de la abogada y experta en el tema Mónica Zuluaga Moreno, quien viene asesorando a los grupos de investigación y, en general, a las distintas dependencias en todo lo que tiene que ver con la protección de la producción de propiedad intelectual, que, de acuerdo con la legislación colombiana, es la denominación que recibe la protección legal sobre toda creación del talento o del ingenio humano, dentro del ámbito científico, literario, artístico, industrial o comercial.

"We are in the process of updating and socializing the intellectual property regulations of the Tecnológico de Antioquia. We are going to inform them and put them into practice," announced the Director of Research of the TdeA, Fabio Alberto Vargas Agudelo.
For this purpose, the director highlighted the creation of the Intellectual Property Committee, attached to the General Secretariat, comprised by the President of TdeA, the General Secretary, the Research Director, the Administrative and Financial Director and the intellectual property advisor. This committee will be in charge of reviewing the policies, applicability of the regulation and implementing protective measures as required during the production generated by the University Institution.
The higher education center has been updating processes since mid-2017 in this regard, advised by lawyer and expert in the topic Mónica Zuluaga Moreno. The expert has been advising the research groups and, in general, all agencies in everything that has to do with the protection of the production of intellectual property, which, according to Colombian legislation, is the denomination that receives legal protection over all creation of talent or human ingenuity, within the scientific, literary, artistic, industrial or commercial fields.
