“Todos, quienes ejercemos la docencia, tenemos la responsabilidad hacia el futuro de preparar adecuadamente con valores y calidad, a las actuales y futuras generaciones de jóvenes que estudian en el Tecnológico de Antioquia”. Se expresó el rector de la Institución Universitaria, Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra durante el acto de celebración del Día del Maestro, que tuvo lugar el 15 de mayo en el auditorio institucional Gilberto Echeverri Mejía.
En el evento, el directivo invitó a los docentes a continuar trabajando por esta casa de estudios superiores que, según él: “Ha avanzado a pasos agigantados, es una de las que, en términos relativos, más se ha desarrollado académicamente entre las 293 instituciones de educación superior que existen en Colombia. Que cuenta con cuatro facultades, 26 programas de pregrado, 11 de postgrados; que brilla con luz propia, financieramente estable y que, pese a solo tener 35 años de vida académica, goza de una historia muy prolífica”.

"All of us, who are teaching, have a responsibility towards the future of adequately preparing, with values and quality, the current and future generations of young people who study at the Tecnológico de Antioquia." The president of the University Institution, Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, commented during the celebration of Teacher's Day, which took place on May 15 at the Gilberto Echeverri Mejía institutional auditorium.
In the event, the president invited teachers to continue working for this house of higher education that, according to him: "Has advanced by leaps and bounds, is one of those that, in relative terms, has developed more academically, among the 293 institutions of higher education that exist in Colombia. Which has four schools, 26 undergraduate programs, 11 postgraduate programs; that shines with its own light, financially stable and that, despite only having 35 years of academic life, enjoys a very prolific history."
