El 27 de abril se celebró en el Tecnológico de Antioquia el Día de la Danza, un evento lleno de movimiento, colorido, ritmo y belleza, que reunió a integrantes de la comunidad educativa en torno a la cultura. En el TdeA, los grupos de proyección cultural tienen diversos espacios acordes con la misión de formación integral.
La danza, es la ejecución de movimientos al ritmo de la música que permite transmitir sentimientos y emociones. A lo largo de la historia de la humanidad, ha sido fuente de expresión, inspiración y creación de innumerables técnicas y estilos como la danza clásica, moderna, contemporánea, popular urbana y regional o folclórica.
Para honrar esta forma de arte, se instituyó el 29 de abril como el Día Internacional de la Danza, una fecha en la que el Tecnológico de Antioquia no ha sido ajeno, pues desde la Dirección de Bienestar Institucional, Área de Educación y Cultura, programó el viernes 27 de abril, en el auditorio institucional Gilberto Echeverri Mejía, un evento lleno de ritmo y colorido. Cuatro grupos del colectivo Experimental Dance, conformado por estudiantes y egresados, brindaron una gran exhibición en diferentes estilos de baile como pasillo, milonga, porro, salsa, mapalé, baile hindú, cumbia, bachata, reggaetón, batucada, afrondance, funka, champeta afro, pop y baile urbano, acompañados en la percusión por Kumbé, una de las agrupaciones más emblemáticas de la Institución Universitaria, dirigida el maestro Juan Carlos Lyons Márquez.
Durante la velada, a la que asistieron estudiantes, docentes y personal administrativo del TdeA, se escucharon voces de agradecimiento hacia el rector Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, la directora de Bienestar Universitario Sorelly Moreno Carvajal y el director del Área de Educación y Cultura, Carlos Mario Osorio Vanegas, por su apoyo a los procesos culturales, lo que ha posibilitado contar con una participación muy nutrida en las diversas áreas de música, teatro, danza y artes plásticas.
Al término de la presentación, se hizo un reconocimiento a profesores e instructores de los cuatro grupos de baile: Rogelio Alberto Gaviria Pulgarín, Pascasio Chamarro Caldera, Leonardo Ríos Velásquez y Thalía Herrera Graciano, al igual que al director del grupo Kumbé, por su participación en el evento, su aporte artístico y contribución al fomento cultural, formación integral, proyección de la Institución Universitaria y cualificación de la educación superior en Colombia; y una sentida felicitación a cada uno de los bailarines que, con pasión y dedicación, aprovechan sus espacios libres para dedicarse a esta hermosa práctica de interacción e integración social.
Desde 1982, cada 29 de abril, por determinación de la UNESCO, se festeja el Día Internacional de la Danza, en honor al bailarín francés Jean-Georges Noverre, nacido el 29 de abril de 1727, quien es considerado el creador del ballet moderno, fue bailarín de la Corte Real de Luis XV y coreógrafo de la compañía de ballet de la Ópera Cómica, en París y para homenajear a todos aquellos que han elegido la danza como medio de expresión para que, traspasando las barreras culturales, políticas y étnicas, celebren la danza y su diversidad.
TdeA's Dance Day
On April 27, Dance Day was celebrated at the Tecnológico de Antioquia, an event full of movement, color, rhythm and beauty that brought together members of the educational community around culture. In the TdeA, the groups of cultural projection have different spaces responding to the mission of integral formation.
Dance is the execution of movements to the rhythm of music that allows transmitting feelings and emotions. Throughout history of humanity it has been a source of expression, inspiration and creation of innumerable techniques and styles such as classical, modern, contemporary, popular urban and regional or folk dance.
To honor this art form, April 29 was instituted as the International Day of Dance, a date in which Tecnológico de Antioquia has long participated. From the Directorate of Institutional Welfare, Area of Education and Culture, Friday, April 27, was the chosen date. At the Gilberto Echeverri Mejía institutional auditorium, the TdeA organized an event full of rhythm and color. Four groups of the collective Experimental Dance, formed by students and graduates, gave a great exhibition in different styles of dance such as hall, milonga, porro, salsa, mapalé, hindu dance, cumbia, bachata, reggaetón, batucada, afrondance, funka, afro champeta , pop and urban dance, accompanied on percussion by Kumbé, one of the most emblematic groups of the University Institution, directed by Juan Carlos Lyons Márquez.
During the evening, which was attended by students, teachers and administrative staff of TdeA, voices of thanks were heard to President Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, the director of University Welfare Office, Sorelly Moreno Carvajal and the director of the Area of Education and Culture, Carlos Mario Osorio Vanegas, for their support to cultural processes, which has allowed the institution to have a very large participation in the different areas of music, theater, dance and plastic arts.
At the end of the presentation, recognition was given to teachers and instructors from the four dance groups: Rogelio Alberto Gaviria Pulgarín, Pascasio Chamarro Caldera, Leonardo Ríos Velásquez and Thalía Herrera Graciano, as well as to the director of the Kumbé group. They received recognition for their participation in the event, their artistic contribution and cultural promotion, integral formation, projection of the University Institution and qualification of the higher education in Colombia. Also, a heartfelt congratulations was given to each one of the dancers who, with passion and dedication, take advantage of their free spaces to dedicate themselves to this beautiful practice of interaction and social integration.
Since 1982, every 29th of April, by UNESCO's determination, the International Dance Day is celebrated, in honor of the French dancer Jean-Georges Noverre, born on April 29, 1727, who is considered the creator of modern ballet. He was a dancer of the Royal Court of Louis XV and choreographer of the ballet company of the Comic Opera, in Paris and to pay homage to all those who have chosen dance as a means of expression so that, crossing cultural, political and ethnic barriers, celebrate dance and its diversity.
