Con el ánimo de reflexionar acerca de los conocimientos ancestrales de las culturas afrocolombianas de Colombia, el Tecnológico de Antioquia realizó la Cátedra Abierta: Epistemologías del Sur y Prácticas Decoloniales, evento organizado por la Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Sociales.
El propósito del encuentro se centró en conocer el pensamiento y filosofía de vida de dichas culturas, así como las corrientes que se han construido desde América Latina, teniendo en cuenta sus prácticas más representativas.
La cátedra fue coordinada por el programa de Trabajo Social, estudiantes del séptimo semestre y del semillero de investigación Colombia Reflexionada. Contó con la exposición de los catedráticos Juan Esteban Aristizábal, Giovanny Gómez y Dayanira Valdez, con la participación especial de las cantaoras Afrodescendientes Orula, de la Costa Pacífica colombiana.

A Look from the TdeA to the Afro-Colombian Cultures
With the aim of reflecting on the ancestral knowledge of the Afro-Colombian cultures of Colombia, the Tecnologico de Antioquia held the Open Lecture: Southern Epistemologies and Decolonial Practices, an event organized by the School of Education and Social Sciences.
The purpose of the meeting was understanding the thinking and philosophy of life of these cultures, as well as the thought schools that have been created from Latin America, taking into account their most representative practices.
The Open Lecture was coordinated by the Social Work program, students of the seventh semester and the Colombia Reflexiona Research Incubator. The event had lectures by professors Juan Esteban Aristizábal, Giovanny Gómez and Dayanira Valdez, with the special participation of the cantaoras Afrodescendant Orula, from the Colombian Pacific Coast.
