Son 19 los estudiantes TdeA que participarán en el XXVII Encuentro Nacional y XXI Encuentro Internacional de Semilleros de Investigación, que tendrá lugar en Barranquilla del 9 al 12 de octubre. De los 23 proyectos presentados en la fase departamental, realizada el pasado mes de mayo en el Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid, la institución logró el aval de 14 que serán los expuestos en el evento organizado por la Red Colombiana de Semilleros – RedCOLSI, promotora de la investigación formativa en el país desde hace más de 20 años.
En la mañana del 3 de octubre, la delegación de estudiantes investigadores recibió de manera simbólica lo posters de manos del rector de nuestra institución, Leonardo García Botero, quien les expresó un mensaje de agradecimiento por hacer brillar el trabajo del TdeA en materia investigativa y les deseó todo el éxito. “Disfrútense la experiencia, es la oportunidad conocer cosas nuevas, esto es lo que termina enriqueciendo el proceso formativo. A sus tutores toda mi gratitud, son piezas fundamentales para este proceso. Nos va a ir muy bien, estamos excelentemente bien representados”, destacó y recordó a los estudiantes que toda competencia es un asunto de mentalidad, que acompaña la capacidad.
Participarán los grupos de investigación: CBATA, Jurídico Social, RED, Estudios Internacionales, Senderos, Observatos y GIISTA. Con sus semilleros: Inivico, Quimnova, Física Ambiental, Ágora, Mercado de Valores y Divisas, Negocios Internacionales e Integración Regional, Senderos, Automata y Conflicto y Transformaciones Sociales.
Participación internacional
En 2023, tras la participación de nuestros estudiantes y jóvenes investigadores en el XXII Encuentro Departamental de Semilleros de Investigación en la Universidad Adventista y en el XXVI Encuentro Nacional y XX Encuentro Internacional de Semilleros de Investigación en Cartagena, el TdeA logró tres avales internacionales.
“Cada año participamos en un encuentro departamental por nodos, el año pasado tuvo lugar en Antioquia, donde participaron varios de nuestros estudiantes, y quienes obtuvieron un puntaje de 90 a 100 pasaron al Nacional. En este encuentro, quienes lograron un puntaje mayor a 95, les dieron aval para participar en varios eventos internacionales”, explicó Tatiana Ospina, coordinadora de investigación formativa y delegada institucional ante RedCOLSI, quien agregó que estos tres chicos que viajan al exterior obtuvieron reconocimientos meritorios.
Es así como Cristian Alejandro Álvarez Correa, estudiante de Tecnología de Gestión Financiera e integrante del Semillero de Investigación Mercado de Valores y Divisas, viajó al 15º Foro de Ciencias, Tecnología y Cultura (FoCiTeCu) en Cerritos, Entre Ríos (Argentina), con el proyecto “Análisis del impacto de los derivados financieros en Colombia”. “Son cosas que la vida comienza a ponerle a uno en el camino. Después de ver este recorrido de la investigación, algo que nació de la nada, pienso que tengo muchas oportunidades, creo que puertas sí se abren con el conocimiento. Los Semilleros de Investigación son una buena manera de aprender, integrarse y conectarse desde nuestras habilidades, investigando, indagando y llevando mucho más allá un tema que muchas veces creemos simple pero que lo convertimos en un plus que va a ser nuestra fortaleza”, detalló Cristian.
En el 1º Campamento Científico Internacional de Semilleros de Investigación, que se llevará a cabo del 5 al 9 de noviembre en Juchitán, Oaxaca (México), estará Evelyn Andrea Arboleda Quirós, estudiante de Trabajo Social y parte del Semillero de Investigación Los Silencios de la Calle, con su estudio “La influencia de la familia en el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en algunos jóvenes”. “Si en algún momento se me presenta la oportunidad, quiero generar un proyecto que impacte de manera positiva a la población. Si gano en RedCOLSI quiero llevar esto a muchas partes del mundo”, señaló Evelyn.
A este evento también viajará Tatiana Polo Yeneris, estudiante de Contaduría Pública y del Semillero de Investigación INIVICO, quien presentará el proyecto “Motivación y autorregulación en el aprendizaje del inglés bajo el modelo de aula invertida en encuentros sincrónicos en el contexto universitario”. Destacó que, como estudiante, ve valiosos beneficios en el trabajo en los Semilleros. “En el entorno laboral, la mayoría de veces no se ven realmente las causas de un problema. Con la investigación aprendemos a identificar la raíz, qué lo genera y buscar soluciones”, señaló que otros beneficios son el facilitar la entrega del trabajo de grado y mejorar habilidades de lectura en inglés.
Como dijo el director de Investigación, Fabio Alberto Vargas Agudelo, se mejora la vida de los estudiantes en todo sentido. “Los procesos de investigación no son solamente son una estrategia institucional sino formación para los estudiantes, van desarrollando otras capacidades que les servirán mucho cuando salgan a laborar, por eso lo llamamos investigación formativa”, señaló. Resaltó además que cada año el TdeA hace grandes esfuerzos para que los proyectos sean mejor calificados, al tiempo que reiteró el apoyo de la institución a su delegación en Colombia y en el exterior.
TdeA Students Speakers in Colombia and Abroad with RedCOLSI
There are 19 TdeA students who will participate in the XXVII National Meeting and XXI International Meeting of Research Seedbeds, which will take place in Barranquilla from October 9 to 12. We are going to do very well, we are excellently well represented," he said and reminded the students that all competition is a matter of mentality, which complements ability.

International Participation
In 2023, after the participation of our students and young researchers in the XXII Departmental Meeting of Research Seedbeds at the Adventist University and in the XXVI National Meeting and XX International Meeting of Research Seedbeds in Cartagena, the TdeA achieved three international endorsements.
"Every year we participate in a departmental meeting by nodes, last year it took place in Antioquia, where several of our students participated, and those who obtained a score of 90 to 100 went on to the National Championship. In this meeting, those who achieved a score higher than 95, gave them the endorsement to participate in several international events," explained Tatiana Ospina, coordinator of formative research and institutional delegate to RedCOLSI, who added that these three boys who travel abroad obtained meritorious recognitions.
This is how Cristian Alejandro Álvarez Correa, a student of Financial Management Technology and member of the “Semillero de Investigación Mercado de Valores y Divisas” (Stock Market and Currency Research Research Seedbed), traveled to the 15th Forum of Science, Technology and Culture (FoCiTeCu) in Cerritos, Entre Ríos (Argentina), with the project "Analysis of the impact of financial derivatives in Colombia," "These are things that life begins to put in one's way. After seeing this journey of research, something that was born out of nowhere, I think I have many opportunities, I believe that doors do open with knowledge. The Research Seedbeds are a good way to learn, integrate and connect from our skills, researching, investigating and advancing on a topic that we often believe to be simple, but leverage it to a positive outcome that will be our strength," explained Cristian.
At the 1st International Science Camp of Research Seedbeds, which will take place from November 5 to 9 in Juchitán, Oaxaca (Mexico), Evelyn Andrea Arboleda Quirós, a student of Social Work and part of the “Los Silencios de la Calle Research Seedbed,” will be sharing her study "The influence of the family on the consumption of psychoactive substances in some young people." "If at some point the opportunity presents itself, I want to lead a project that has a positive impact on the population. If I win in RedCOLSI I want to take this to many parts of the world," said Evelyn.
Tatiana Polo Yeneris, a student of Public Accounting and the INIVICO Research Seedbed, will also travel to this event, who will present the project "Motivation and self-regulation in the learning of English under the flipped classroom model in synchronous encounters in the university context." She stressed that, as a student, she sees valuable benefits in working in the Seedbeds. "In the work environment, most of the time you don't really see the causes of a problem. With the research we learn to identify the root, what generates it and look for solutions," she pointed out that other benefits are facilitating the delivery of the degree project and improving reading skills in English.
As the Director of Research, Fabio Alberto Vargas Agudelo, said, the lives of students are improved in every way. "Research processes are not only an institutional strategy, but also training for students, they develop other skills that will be very useful when they go out to work, that is why we call it formative research," he said. He also stressed that every year the TdeA makes great efforts so that the projects are better qualified, while reiterating the support of the institution to its delegation in Colombia and abroad.
