En la tarde del viernes 26 de abril, el coliseo institucional del TdeA se llenó de alegría, espontaneidad y lúdica, con motivo del Festival de la Niñez 2024. En rector, Leonardo García Botero, destacó la participación en este espacio que tiene como objetivo valorar y propiciar entornos de bienestar, cuidado y felicidad para las niñas y niños.
Cerca de 200 menores hasta los 12 años de edad, hijos de empleados, docentes, estudiantes y egresados, disfrutaron de una jornada colmada de juegos, actividades pedagógicas y recreativas, presentaciones musicales y variadas sorpresas.
Por espacio de cinco horas, el escenario deportivo se transformó en un circuito de diversión con inflables, piscinas de pelotas, muro de escalada, estaciones de refrigerio y otras atracciones reservadas para los niños y niñas.
“Cada año traemos a nuestros dos hijos. Les encanta porque reciben muchas sorpresas. Para ellos es muy agradable y divertido, es una actividad muy bonita. El papá trabaja acá en la parte administrativa”, resaltó Gloria Estefanía Cárdenas, asistente al Festival de la Niñez.
Entre las actividades desplegadas para los pequeños se destacó el Aula Pedagógica Infantil, espacio que propició la interacción de los menores en diferentes lugares de la sede universitaria como salones de clase, laboratorios, escenarios deportivos, oficinas administrativas y la biblioteca, entre otros espacios.
Una de las más felices con este programa fue Celeste, hija de Vladimir Cadavid, asistente de Regionalización. La niña de ocho años, quien por primera vez visitó las instalaciones de la institución, se mostró sorprendida con las áreas verdes y edificaciones dispuestas en el campus de Robledo del TdeA.
“Es una idea fantástica porque nos permite traer a la familia para que conozca nuestro entorno laboral. A ella le asombró mucho ver tanta gente y el tamaño de la institución. Está muy feliz de conocer el sitio donde trabaja su papá y me dijo que le gustaría estudiar acá, lo que me llena de orgullo”, anotó Vladimir.
A su vez, Laura Bejarano, madre gestante y estudiante de séptimo semestre de Criminalística, llegó al Festival de la Niñez con su otro hijo, Samuel, de tres años, con el propósito de que el pequeño pudiera compartir y socializar con niños de su edad.
“Me parece fascinante que la universidad ofrezca este tipo de espacios para nuestros hijos. La bebé que llevo en mi vientre, Heidi, se ha movido mucho hoy. Yo le hablo y le describo el lugar. Le digo que muy pronto estará acá jugando con su hermanito y estudiando conmigo”, comentó complacida la joven mamá.
Como parte de su trabajo de práctica, los estudiantes de Licenciatura en Educación Infantil aprovecharon el festival para adelantar actividades lúdicas, pruebas pedagógicas, talleres de lectoescritura y diversas manualidades con los menores.
“Desde la literatura y el arte articulamos un espacio donde los niños aprenden y crean figuras de origami. Para nosotros es un privilegio trabajar con ellos y disfrutar de sus habilidades, destrezas y talentos”, explicó Luis Fernando Herrera, docente de Licenciatura de Educación Infantil del TdeA.
TdeA's Festival of Joy for Children
On the afternoon of Friday, April 26, the institutional coliseum of the TdeA was filled with joy, spontaneity, and playfulness, during the Children's Festival 2024. The president, Leonardo García Botero, highlighted the participation in this space that aims to value and promote environments of well-being, care and happiness for children.
Nearly 200 children up to 12 years of age, children of employees, teachers, students, and graduates, enjoyed a day full of games, educational and recreational activities, musical presentations, and various surprises.
For five hours, the sports arena was transformed into a fun circuit with inflatables, ball pits, a climbing wall, refreshment stations and other attractions reserved for children.
"Every year we bring our two children. They love it because they get a lot of surprises. For them it's very nice and fun, it's a very nice activity. The father works here in the administrative part," said Gloria Estefanía Cárdenas, an attendee of the Children's Festival.
Among the activities deployed for the children, the Children's Pedagogical Classroom stood out, a space that encouraged the interaction of the children in different places of the university headquarters such as classrooms, laboratories, sports arenas, administrative offices, and the library, among other spaces.
One of the happiest with this program was Celeste, daughter of Vladimir Cadavid, Regionalization Assistant. The eight-year-old girl, who visited the institution's facilities for the first time, was surprised by the green areas and buildings available on the TdeA's Robledo campus.
"It's a fantastic idea because it allows us to bring the family to get to know our work environment. She was amazed to see so many people and the size of the institution. She is very happy to know the place where his father works and he told me that he would like to study here, which fills me with pride," Vladimir noted.
In turn, Laura Bejarano, a mother-to-be and seventh-semester student of Criminalistics, came to the Children's Festival with her other son, Samuel, three years old, so that the little one could share and socialize with children his age.
"I find it fascinating that the university offers these kinds of spaces for our children. The baby in my womb, Heidi, has moved around a lot today. I talk to him and describe the place. I tell him that very soon he will be here playing with his little brother and studying with me," said the young mother, pleased.
As part of their practical work, the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education took advantage of the festival to carry out recreational activities, pedagogical tests, reading and writing workshops and various crafts with the children.
"From literature and arts we articulate a space where children learn and create origami figures. For us it is a privilege to work with them and enjoy their skills, abilities and talents," explained Luis Fernando Herrera, professor of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the TdeA.
