El Tecnológico de Antioquia hizo entrega de los Premios a la Investigación e Innovación, como reconocimiento a los docentes, investigadores y administrativos destacados durante el período comprendido entre el 1º de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2021.
En dicho evento, que tuvo lugar en el Coliseo Institucional el 2 de septiembre de 2022, se hizo reconocimiento a la producción científica, académica e investigativa durante este período, en cumplimiento de uno de los objetivos del Consejo Académico del TdeA de otorgar incentivos en investigación para la comunidad académica, previamente propuestos por la Dirección de Investigación en ciencia, tecnología e innovación.
El rector, Leonardo García Botero, destacó la importancia y el papel protagónico que tiene la investigación en la academia y felicitó a los investigadores por sus logros académicos e investigativos. Manifestó que las investigaciones, cualquiera que sea el carácter, se traducen en grandes beneficios tanto para los investigadores quienes las realizan, como para la Institución que acoge esa actividad y puso de presente que la investigación es el elemento que le permite al TdeA trascender y mantenerse en un nivel adecuado.
En el evento de reconocimiento, el director de Investigación Fabio Vargas Agudelo presentó, ante el Consejo Académico, el informe consolidado de los reconocimientos para el período comprendido entre el 1º de enero del 2021 y el 31 de diciembre del 2021 y la secretaria general Jael Johanna Gaviria Gallego dio lectura a la Resolución del Consejo Académico.
Los reconocimientos entregados a 66 investigadores clasificados como investigadores en el Sistema de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Minciencias y se otorgaron los siguientes premios a la investigación e innovación:
• Reconocimiento "Una vida al servicio de la investigación en el TdeA" por los años liderando el grupo de investigación Senderos clasificado en Categoría A de Minciencias: Jorge Iván Correa Alzate,
• Reconocimiento "Desarrollo tecnológico e innovación" por la generación de la primera patente para el TdeA "Dispositivo de fotodegradación": Sergio Humberto Valencia Hurtado
• Reconocimiento "Trayectoria, aportes y producción investigativa al servicio del TdeA" por la obtención de la Categoría de Investigadora Emérita ante Minciencias: Migdalia Josefina Caridad Faria.
• Reconocimiento “Generación de nuevo conocimiento” por alcanzar la mayor producción de nuevo conocimiento en el TdeA durante el año 2021: Jorge Emiro Restrepo Carvajal.
TdeA granted Research and Innovation awards
Tecnológico de Antioquia presented the Research and Innovation Awards, in recognition of the outstanding teachers, researchers and administrators during the period between January 1 and December 31, 2021.
In this event, which took place at the Institutional Coliseum on September 2, 2022, recognition was made to the scientific, academic and research production during this period, in compliance with one of the objectives of the Academic Council of the TdeA to grant research incentives for the academic community, previously proposed by the Directorate of Research in Science, technology and innovation.
The University President, Leonardo García Botero, highlighted the importance and leading role of research in academia and congratulated the researchers for their academic and research achievements. He said that research, whatever the kind, translates into great benefits both for the researchers who carry it out, and for the Institution that hosts that activity and pointed out that research is the element that allows the TdeA to transcend and remain at an adequate level.
At the recognition event, the Director of Research Fabio Vargas Agudelo presented, before the Academic Council, the consolidated report of the recognitions for the period between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 and the general secretary Jael Johanna Gaviria Gallego read the Resolution of the Academic Council.
The awards were given to 66 researchers classified as researchers in the Science, Technology and Innovation System of Minciencias and the following prizes were awarded to research and innovation:
- Recognition "A life at the service of research at TdeA" for the years leading the research group Senderos classified in Category A of Minciencias: Jorge Iván Correa Alzate.
- Recognition "Technological development and innovation" for the generation of the first patent for TdeA "Photodegradation device:" Sergio Humberto Valencia Hurtado.
- Recognition "Trajectory, contributions and research production at the service of the TdeA" for obtaining the Category of Emeritus Researcher before Minciencias: Migdalia Josefina Caridad Faria.
- Recognition "Generation of new knowledge" for achieving the highest production of new knowledge in the TdeA during the year 2021: Jorge Emiro Restrepo Carvajal.
