Para el docente del Tecnológico de Antioquia Abad Ernesto Parada Trujillo, el 1° Congreso Internacional de Estudios Sociales, liderado por el Doctorado en Educación y Estudios Sociales del TdeA, que se llevó a cabo el 30 y 31 de agosto y el 1° de septiembre, cumplió con creces su cometido.
Se trató de un espacio para la divulgación de conocimientos producto del estudio y reflexiones de investigadores nacionales e internacionales en cinco líneas: Epistemología, Pedagogía y Didáctica; Paz, Justicia e Instituciones Sólidas; Contextos y Comunidades; Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible; Conocimiento para el Desarrollo. Líneas que se vienen desarrollando en el Doctorado, adscrito a la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales y, en cada una de ellas, se contó con ponencias principales, con invitados de Panamá, México, Brasil, España, Perú, Chile e investigadores y expertos de diferentes entidades y universidades de Colombia.
Según Parada Trujillo, miembro del Comité organizador del Congreso, el evento fue “supremamente importante porque involucró toda la actividad investigativa que se adelanta desde el Doctorado. El TdeA solo tiene un doctorado y con actividades como la presente, se le dio gran visibilidad, que le permite seguir posicionando en el ámbito nacional”.
El Congreso fue pensado de manera amplia para convocar las diferentes voces, perspectivas y análisis que adelantan distintos investigadores sobre variados temas de carácter internacional, nacional y local. “La experticia, el conocimiento, los saberes que se expusieron en el evento, no son saberes que se están produciendo de la noche a la mañana, sino que son el resultado de muchos años de esfuerzo, de investigación”, recalcó el docente. Y, agregó: “Lo que hace el doctorado, es abrir ese espacio por medio del Congreso para que, de manera institucional, las diferentes facultades se puedan ver retroalimentadas con cada una de sus jornadas, tanto para docentes como para estudiantes de pregrado. Entonces, fue un escenario abierto, muy flexible; las personas seleccionaron las ponencias que les interesaba y asistieron a éstas”.
El éxito del Congreso, es fruto del esfuerzo y el trabajo de varias personas que han estado detrás de la organización. De la dedicación, durante casi siete meses, planeando el evento, buscando los ponentes, por lo cual se abrió una gran convocatoria, que tuvo cerca de 90 participantes de diferentes países y, de esas 90, se escogieron cerca de 39 ponencias que son las que se desarrollaron en los tres días que duró el Congreso, el cual se llevó a cabo en el Auditorio Gilberto Echeverri Mejía del TdeA. “Es, también, el resultado de la gestión de los coordinadores de programas, de los decanos, de la vicerrectora Johana Andrea Aguilar Barreto y de los estudiantes del Doctorado en Educación y Estudios Sociales, de las Cortes 1 y 2, que ha permitido una gran movilidad de personas asistentes al Congreso”, puntualizó el docente.
I International Congress on Social Studies: An event in which the quality of the TdeA’s PhD was reflected

For the professor of Tecnológico de Antioquia Abad Ernesto Parada Trujillo, the 1st International Congress on Social Studies, led by the PhD in Education and Social Studies of the TdeA, which was held on August 30 and 31 and September 1, more than fulfilled its mission.
It was a space for the dissemination of knowledge resulting from the study and reflections of national and international researchers in five lines: Epistemology, Pedagogy and Didactics; Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; Contexts and Communities; Environment and Sustainable Development; Knowledge for Development. These lines have been developed in the Doctorate, attached to the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and, in each of them, there were main presentations, with guests from Panama, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Peru, Chile and researchers and experts from different entities and universities in Colombia.
According to Parada Trujillo, member of the Organizing Committee of the Congress, the event was "extremely important because it involved all the research activity that is carried out from the Doctorate. The TdeA only has a doctorate and with activities like the present, it was given great visibility, which allows it to continue positioning itself at the national level".
The Congress was designed in a broad way to convene the different voices, perspectives and analyses carried out by different researchers on various topics of an international, national and local nature. "The expertise and knowledge that was shown in the event, are not knowledge that are being produced overnight, but are the result of many years of effort, of research," said the professor. And, he added: "What the doctorate does is open that space through the Congress so that, in an institutional way, the different faculties can be fed back with each of their days, both for teachers and undergraduate students. So, it was an open, very flexible scenario; people selected the papers they were interested in and attended."
The success of the Congress is the result of the effort and work of several people who have been behind the organization. Of the dedication, for almost seven months, planning the event, looking for the speakers, for which a great call was opened, which had about 90 participants from different countries and, of those 90, about 39 papers were chosen that are those that were developed in the three days that the Congress lasted, which was held in the Gilberto Echeverri Mejía Auditorium of the TdeA. "It is also the result of the management of the program coordinators, the deans, the vice-president Johana Andrea Aguilar Barreto and the students of the Doctorate in Education and Social Studies, of the Courts 1 and 2, which has allowed a great mobility of people attending the Congress," said the professor.
