• Inyectará energía solar al bloque administrativo
• EPM autorizó la conexión en el sistema y se espera un ahorro mensual en el consumo de energía del 3 %
El Tecnológico de Antioquia Institución Universitaria (TdeA) tiene en marcha un proyecto piloto de energía solar en el bloque administrativo del campus universitario de Robledo, con el fin de promover la generación de energías limpias. Sobre el mismo recibió, por parte de EPM, la factibilidad para la conexión en el sistema.
El bloque administrativo cuenta con paneles solares instalados en la cubierta de la terraza del último piso del edificio. Estas células plantean un sistema fotovoltaico con la finalidad de generar energía limpia y mitigar el consumo del servicio que brinda EPM.
“De esta manera tendremos una expectativa de ahorro en el servicio de fluido eléctrico hasta de un 3 % mensualmente para esa edificación”, detalló Luis Fernando Cifuentes Valencia, profesional de Desarrollo Físico del TdeA.
Con este proyecto de energía limpia, la Institución se articula con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible -ODS- definidos por Naciones Unidas y que plantean la promoción de infraestructuras resilientes, inclusivas, sustentables y en equilibrio con los ecosistemas. Además, fortalece los procesos que tiene el TdeA como “Ecouniversidad”.
“Estos proyectos permiten estar alineados con todas las acciones encaminadas a contrarrestar el calentamiento global. Es también nuestro aporte a la disminución de la huella de carbono en 3.994 toneladas aproximadamente de CO2 al año, ratificando el compromiso ambiental de la institución con sus entornos”, concretó Cifuentes Valencia.
Igualmente, la puesta en funcionamiento de los paneles solares hace parte de un piloto. Con base en los resultados que arroje la inyección de energía fotovoltaica al bloque administrativo, las directivas del TdeA, en cabeza del rector, Leonardo García Botero, estudiarían extender este modelo sostenible a otras edificaciones de la Institución Universitaria.

The Tecnológico de Antioquia University Institution (TdeA) has launched a solar energy pilot project in the administrative building of the Robledo university campus, in order to promote the generation of clean energy. It received the feasibility for the connection in the system by EPM the local utilities company.
The administrative building has solar panels installed on the roof of the terrace on the top floor of the building. These cells will provide a photovoltaic system in order to generate clean energy and mitigate the consumption of the service provided by EPM.
"In this way, we will have an expectation of savings in the electricity service of up to 3% per month for that building," said Luis Fernando Cifuentes Valencia, TdeA's Physical Assets Development professional.
With this clean energy project, the Institution is articulated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations and which propose the promotion of resilient, inclusive, sustainable infrastructures in balance with ecosystems. In addition, it strengthens the processes that the TdeA has as an "Eco-University."
"These projects allow us to be aligned with all actions aimed at counteracting global warming. It is also our contribution to reducing the carbon footprint by approximately 3,994 tons of CO2 per year, ratifying the institution's environmental commitment to its surroundings," said Cifuentes Valencia.
Likewise, the commissioning of the solar panels is part of a pilot. Based on the results of the injection of photovoltaic energy into the administrative building, the directors of the TdeA, headed by the president, Leonardo García Botero, would study extending this sustainable model to other buildings of the University Institution.
