En cumplimiento de la Mesa Estratégica de Educación Superior 2024, el Tecnológico de Antioquia Institución Universitaria (TdeA) anunció la estrategia “Territorio TdeA” mediante la cual se busca constituir epicentros de educación en las nueve subregiones antioqueñas.
El rector, Leonardo Garcia Botero, presentó la iniciativa ante alcaldes municipales, secretarios de educación y directores de parques educativos de 13 municipios del departamento: Vegachí y Yolombó, (Nordeste); Apartadó, (Urabá); Zaragoza, (Bajo Cauca); Urrao, Tarso y Ciudad Bolívar, (Suroeste); El Carmen de Viboral, (Oriente); Maceo, (Magdalena Medio); San Pedro de los Milagros y Santa Rosa de Osos, (Norte); e Itagüí y Barbosa, (Valle de Aburrá).
Durante el encuentro, la institución revalidó los convenios interadministrativos con estas municipalidades para instalar en sus cascos urbanos epicentros subregionales y provinciales de educación superior, lo que facilitará el acceso de estudiantes de poblaciones cercanas sin tener que desplazarse a Medellín.
“Por ejemplo, que el programa educativo de Tarso incluya a estudiantes de pueblos vecinos como Jericó y Pueblorrico; que la oferta de Yolombó favorezca también a comunidades de Yalí, Vegachí o Amalfi. O que a Ciudad Bolívar acudan estudiantes de Jardín, Andes, Betania e Hispania; e incluso, de El Carmen de Atrato, en Chocó”, explicó Leonardo García Botero.
La estrategia ofrece programas académicos en la modalidad a distancia y combinará la presencialidad con el uso de herramientas TIC, tales como Tecnología en Gestión Agroambiental, Tecnología en Gestión Informática, Trabajo Social, Contaduría Pública y en la oferta hay dos nuevas carreras que fueron diseñadas para los requerimientos de las regiones: las Licenciaturas en Educación Física, Recreación y Deportes y en Educación Campesina y Rural.
“Para nosotros este nuevo programa de Educación Campesina y Rural nos permitirá formar a los profesores que educarán a los niños y jóvenes de la ruralidad del departamento. Está pensado para las regiones y articulado al nuevo esquema de concurso de convocatoria pública para docencia en el país con enforque territorial. Está orientado para formadores y profesores que en sus municipios puedan seguir con su labor en las zonas rurales. Esta estrategia permite materializar nuestra responsabilidad social y función misional en el territorio antioqueño”, enfatizó Andrea Aguilar Barreto, vicerrectora Académica del TdeA.
Las inscripciones para “Territorio TdeA” estarán disponibles entre este martes 7 de mayo y el 15 de junio en el micrositio de regionalización de la página web (www.tdea.edu.co). Acorde a su componente de articulación estratégica con las subregiones, el TdeA ha llevado su oferta académica a 87 municipios del departamento
“Durante más de 18 años el TdeA ha sido un aliado estratégico para la educación superior en nuestro municipio. En esta ocasión estamos interesados en llevar a esta parte del Suroeste antioqueño la Licenciatura en Educación Rural y Campesina, Gestión Agroambiental, Trabajo Social y Derecho”, destacó Nilson Javier Barrera Holguín, alcalde de Urrao.
También en Yolombó, Nordeste del departamento, se preparan para iniciar con la promoción de programas que han generado interés entre los jóvenes y adultos bachilleres de esta localidad como las tecnologías en Informática y de Gestión Agroambiental y la nueva Licenciatura en Educación Rural y Campesina.
“Nuestro compromiso es invitar a los mandatarios de poblaciones cercanas del Norte y Nordeste del departamento como Carolina del Príncipe, Gómez Plata, Guadalupe, Anorí y Cisneros, entre otras, para que integremos este nodo educativo del TdeA que se instalará en el Parque Educativo de nuestra localidad”, resaltó Amador Pérez Palacio, alcalde de Yolombó.
Por el momento la única subregión sin epicentro de educación superior es el Occidente antioqueño. Con el propósito de completar ese mapa, la estrategia “Territorio TdeA” adelanta acercamientos con las alcaldías de Sopetrán y Cañasgordas, las cuales han mostrado su interés de llevar parte de la oferta académica de la institución a sus municipios.
"TdeA Territory" Impacts Higher Education in the Department
In compliance with the 2024 Higher Education Strategic Board, the Tecnológico de Antioquia University Institution (TdeA) announced the "Territorio TdeA (TdeA Territory)" strategy through which it seeks to create epicenters of education in the nine subregions of Antioquia.
President, Leonardo García Botero, presented the initiative to municipal mayors, secretaries of education and directors of educational parks from 13 municipalities of the department: Vegachí and Yolombó, (Northeast); Apartadó, (Urabá); Zaragoza, (Bajo Cauca); Urrao, Tarso and Ciudad Bolívar, (Southwest); El Carmen de Viboral, (East); Maceo, (Magdalena Medio); San Pedro de los Milagros and Santa Rosa de Osos, (North); and Itagüí and Barbosa, (Aburrá Valley).
During the meeting, the institution revalidated the inter-administrative agreements with these municipalities to create subregional and provincial epicenters of higher education in their urban centers, which will facilitate access for students from nearby towns without having to travel to Medellín.
"For example, Tarso educational program includes students from neighboring towns such as Jericó and Pueblorrico; Yolombó's offer also favors communities in Yalí, Vegachí or Amalfi or that of Ciudad Bolívar is attended by students from Jardín, Andes, Betania and Hispania; and even El Carmen de Atrato, in Chocó," explained García Botero.
The strategy offers academic programs in the distance modality and will combine face-to-face with the use of ICT tools, such as Technology in Agro-Environmental Management, Technology in Computer Management, Social Work, Public Accounting, and there are two new careers that were designed for the requirements of the regions: the Bachelor's Degrees in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports and Peasant and Rural Education.
"For us, this new Peasant and Rural Education program will allow us to train teachers who will educate children and young people in rural areas of the department. It is designed for the regions and articulated to the new public competition scheme for teaching in the country with a territorial focus. It is aimed at trainers and teachers who can continue their work in rural areas in their municipalities. This strategy allows us to materialize our social responsibility and missionary function in the territory of Antioquia," emphasized Andrea Aguilar Barreto, Academic Vice-President of the TdeA.
Registrations for "TdeA Territory" will be available between Tuesday, May 7 and June 15 on the website's regionalization microsite (www.tdea.edu.co). In accordance with its component of strategic articulation with the subregions, the TdeA has taken its academic offer to 87 municipalities of the department.
"For more than 18 years, the TdeA has been a strategic ally for higher education in our municipality. On this occasion we are interested in bringing to this part of Southwest Antioquia the Bachelor's Degree in Rural and Peasant Education, Agro-Environmental Management, Social Work and Law," said Nilson Javier Barrera Holguín, mayor of Urrao.
Also in Yolombó, in the northeast of the department, they are preparing to start promoting programs that have generated interest among young people and adults in high school in this town, such as technologies in Informatics and Agro-environmental Management and the new Bachelor's Degree in Rural and Peasant Education.
"Our commitment is to invite the leaders of nearby towns in the North and Northeast of the department such as Carolina del Príncipe, Gómez Plata, Guadalupe, Anorí and Cisneros, among others, to integrate this educational node of the TdeA that will be installed in the Educational Park of our town," said Amador Pérez Palacio, mayor of Yolombó.
So far, the only subregion without an epicenter of higher education is Western Antioquia. In order to complete this map, the "TdeA Territory" strategy is approaching the municipalities of Sopetrán and Cañasgordas, which have shown their interest in bringing part of the institution's academic offer to their municipalities.
