En la edición 18 de la Fiesta del Libro y la Cultura de Medellín, que irá hasta este domingo 15 de septiembre, el Sello Editorial del TdeA exhibe cerca de 60 publicaciones propias en diversas áreas del conocimiento.
Uno de los títulos más solicitados este año en el pabellón de editoriales universitarias es el libro “Plantas y etnobotánicas en el Urabá antioqueño: Dabeiba y Mutatá”, de Marcela Serna González, profesora de la Facultad de Ingeniería del TdeA, obra del Sello Editorial de la institución.
“Este martes hicimos el lanzamiento de este texto de etnobotánica. La autora del libro estuvo acá en el stand y compartió detalles de la investigación con estudiantes y público interesado. A las personas les ha llamado la atención que las publicaciones estén disponibles sin costo de manera digital”, comentó Ana María Roldán López, apoyo del stand del TdeA en la Fiesta del Libro y la Cultura.
Desde las estanterías del certamen hay un cuento infantil que ha llamado la atención de los visitantes. Se trata de Rawr: el dinosaurio valiente. La publicación es fruto de un trabajo académico con estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Educación Infantil coordinado por el profesor Luis Fernando Herrera Ramírez, autor e ilustrador del libro.
“Es una historia muy bonita que se construyó durante prácticas de atención hospitalaria con niños que habitan en zonas de conflicto. En el cuento hay una maleta mágica verde que contiene los materiales didácticos para acompañar los procesos con estos pequeños. Es una obra no solo para público infantil sino también para adultos porque llama a la reflexión y solidaridad”, explicó Laura Marcela Bedoya Pérez, estudiante de Educación Infantil del TdeA.
Precisamente este jueves 12 de septiembre, a las 10:00 de la mañana, el profesor Herrera Ramírez, estará en el stand 8 del Sello Editorial del TdeA, pabellón de editoriales universitarias, donde compartirá aspectos de su cuento ilustrado Rawr: el dinosaurio valiente.
La Fiesta del Libro y la Cultura, que se efectúa en el Jardín Botánico de Medellín, finalizará este domingo. Además de la muestra de las casas editoriales, el evento cultural propicia otros espacios de encuentro como cine, conciertos, conferencias, lecturas y conversatorios con escritores y críticos de literatura, entre otros.

TdeA Sello Editorial Exhibits 60 Titles at Fiesta del Libro Book Festival 2024
During the 18th edition of the Medellín Fiesta del Libro y la Cultural (Book and Culture Festival), which will run until this Sunday, September 15, the TdeA “Sello Editorial” Publishing Label exhibits about 60 of its own publications in various areas of knowledge.
One of the most requested titles this year in the university publishing pavilion is the book "Plants and ethnobotanists in the Urabá of Antioquia: Dabeiba and Mutatá," by Marcela Serna González, professor of the School of Engineering of the TdeA, work of the Sello Editorial of the institution.
"This Tuesday we launched this ethnobotany book. The author of the book was here at the stand and shared details of the research with students and interested audience. People have been struck by the fact that the publications are available at no cost digitally," said Ana María Roldán López, support of the TdeA booth at the Book and Culture Festival.
From the shelves of the event there is a children's story that has caught the attention of visitors. It is Rawr: the brave dinosaur. The publication is the result of academic work with students of the Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education coordinated by Professor Luis Fernando Herrera Ramírez, author and illustrator of the book.
"It is a very beautiful story that was built during hospital care practices with children who live in conflict zones. In the story there is a green magic suitcase that contains the didactic materials to accompany the processes with these little ones. It is a play not only for children but also for adults because it calls for reflection and solidarity," explained Laura Marcela Bedoya Pérez, a student of Early Childhood Education at the TdeA.
Precisely this Thursday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m., Professor Herrera Ramírez, will be at booth 8 of the Sello Editorial TdeA Publishing House, a pavilion of university publishers, where he will share aspects of his illustrated story Rawr: the brave dinosaur.
The Book and Culture Festival, which takes place at the Botanical Gardens of Medellín, will end this Sunday. In addition to the exhibition of publishing houses, the cultural event promotes other meeting spaces such as cinema, concerts, conferences, readings and talks with writers and literary critics, among others.
