Medellín, 27 de marzo de 2025. El TdeA Institución Universitaria conmemoró el Día Internacional del Teatro con una jornada vibrante, en la que el arte escénico tomó cada rincón del campus de Robledo. La celebración, que se lleva a cabo cada 27 de marzo en todo el mundo, fue instaurada en 1961 por el Instituto Internacional del Teatro (ITI) de la UNESCO, con el propósito de resaltar la importancia de esta disciplina en la cultura y la sociedad.

Estudiantes, docentes y visitantes disfrutaron de una programación diversa, en la que el talento y la creatividad fueron los protagonistas. Las actividades iniciaron con un sketch itinerante del Grupo de Proyección de Teatro del TdeA, que sorprendió a la comunidad académica con intervenciones teatrales en distintos espacios del campus.

También, el campus se llenó de color y movimiento con las comparsas “Amor y arte en tiempos de circo” y “Luna Sol”, presentadas por el colectivo artístico SADEP y la corporación Ramiquirí e Iraca. Estas expresiones artísticas recorrieron la universidad, llevando alegría y reflexión sobre el papel del arte en la vida cotidiana.

Uno de los momentos más especiales de la jornada fue la presentación del artista Edwin Torres (Edw), quien compartió su obra "Tango erótico" en su teatro lambe-lambe, una técnica teatral que consiste en presentar historias en una caja portátil para un solo espectador, generando una experiencia íntima y única.

Para cerrar con broche de oro, el Teatro de Títeres y Mimos Estemimo presentó su obra “Cuadros de Estemimo” en el auditorio institucional Gilberto Echeverri Mejía. Esta puesta en escena de pantomima clásica cautivó a los asistentes con su expresividad y profundidad artística.

Con esta celebración, el TdeA Institución Universitaria reafirma su compromiso con la promoción del arte y la cultura, como herramientas fundamentales en la formación integral de sus estudiantes. El teatro, como espacio de expresión y reflexión, sigue siendo un pilar en la construcción de una sociedad más crítica, sensible y creativa.

 

World Theatre Day: a day full of art and expression

The TdeA University Institution commemorated the World Theatre Day with a vibrant day, where the performing arts took over every corner of the Robledo campus. The celebration, which takes place every March 27th around the world, was established in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI) of UNESCO, with the purpose of highlighting the importance of this discipline in culture and society.

Students, teachers, and visitors enjoyed a diverse program, where talent and creativity were the stars. The activities began with a roaming sketch by the TdeA Theater Projection Group, which surprised the academic community with theatrical interventions in various spaces on campus.

Also, the campus was filled with color and movement with the parades "Love and Art in Circus Times" (Amor y arte en tiempos de circo) and "Moon Sun," (Luna Sol), presented by the artistic collective SADEP and the Ramiquirí and Iraca corporation. These artistic expressions traversed the university, bringing joy and reflection on the role of art in everyday life.

One of the most special moments of the day was the presentation by the artist Edwin Torres (Edw), who shared his work "Tango erótico" in his lambe-lambe theater, a theatrical technique that involves presenting stories in a portable box for a single spectator, creating an intimate and unique experience.

To close with a flourish, the Estemimo Puppet and Mime Theater presented their play "Estemimo's Frames" (Cuadros de Estemimo) at the Gilberto Echeverri Mejía institutional auditorium. This staging of classical pantomime captivated the audience with its expressiveness and artistic depth.

With this celebration, TdeA University Institution reaffirms its commitment to promoting art and culture as fundamental tools in the comprehensive education of its students. Theater, as a space for expression and reflection, continues to be a pillar in the construction of a more critical, sensitive, and creative society.
