A propósito del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, ¿tus acciones y comportamientos están contribuyendo con su preservación?
La Institución Universitaria Tecnológico de Antioquia se une a la conmemoración de esta fecha especial donde proteger, cuidar y velar por la preservación de los recursos naturaleza se convierte en una tarea permanente hacia nuestra casa común.
Los docentes Daniel Nisperuza Toledo y Marcela Serna González de la Facultad de Ingeniería, invitan a la reflexión porque el planeta está en peligro: “Necesitamos el medio ambiente para nuestra supervivencia como especie, como razas, como individuos. En pleno Siglo XXI estamos saturados de datos, pero nos hemos desconectado de la naturaleza, pese a saber que nuestras malas acciones, actitudes y forma de comportamiento generan un impacto negativo. Es una fecha para tomarnos unos minutos y hacer una pequeña pausa de esta vida que llevamos y reflexionar, meditar si mis acciones afectan positiva o negativamente al medio ambiente, si lo que estoy haciendo es coherente con el conocimiento que tengo y si mi comportamiento está ayudando a la restauración de los ecosistemas o si contribuye gota agota al deterioramiento de los mismos.” Daniel Nisperuza Toledo, Físico de la Universidad de Córdoba, Magister en Ciencias físicas de la Universidad Nacional, Magister en Ciencias físicas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, seccional Medellín y Doctor en física de la misma universidad. Es aficionado a la astronomía, a la literatura y es docente de tiempo completo del Departamento de Ciencias Básicas y Áreas Comunes del TdeA.
“Colombia tiene una responsabilidad muy grande en el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, siendo un país de alta biodiversidad. Los bosques están siendo tumbados. Nos falta mucha cultura para valorar esa riqueza que tenemos. Somos ricos en agua pero la estamos contaminando, hay cantidad, pero la calidad se está perdiendo. Es importante liderar procesos de conservación”, Marcela Serna González, docente del Tecnológico de Antioquia, Ingeniera forestal, Magister en bosques y conservación ambiental y doctora en Ecología de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, docente titular de la Institución.

Regarding World Environment Day, are your Actions and Behaviors Contributing to its Preservation?
Tecnológico de Antioquia joins the commemoration of this special date where protecting, caring for and ensuring the preservation of nature resources becomes a permanent task towards our common home.
Professors Daniel Nisperuza Toledo and Marcela Serna González of the School of Engineering invited students and community to reflect as the planet is in danger: "We need the environment for our survival as a species, as races, as individuals. In the 21st Century we are saturated with data, but we have disconnected from nature, despite knowing that our bad actions, attitudes, and way of behavior generate a negative impact. It is a date to take a few minutes and have a short pause from this life we lead and reflect, meditate if our actions affect the environment positively or negatively, if what I am doing is consistent with the knowledge I have and if my behavior is helping the restoration of ecosystems or if it contributes to the deterioration of them," stated Daniel Nisperuza Toledo, Physicist from the University of Córdoba, Master in Physical Sciences from the National University, Master in Physical Sciences from the National University of Colombia, Medellín section and Doctor in Physics from the same university. He is fond of astronomy, literature and is a full-time professor in the Department of Basic Sciences and Common Areas of the TdeA.
"Colombia has a very big responsibility on World Environment Day, being a country with high biodiversity. The forests are being destroyed. We lack a lot of culture to value that wealth we have. We are rich in water, but we are polluting it, there is quantity, but the quality is being lost. It is important to lead conservation processes," expressed Marcela Serna González, professor at the Tecnológico de Antioquia, Forest Engineer, Master in Forests and Environmental Conservation and PhD. in Ecology from the National University of Colombia, professor at Institution.
