INTRODUCCIÓN/PRESENTACIÓN
La Catedra Permanente en Investigación Social: Maria Eumelia Galeano Marín, es un espacio de reflexión académica que busca promover entre la comunidad educativa del TdeA y de otras instituciones de la ciudad el sentido político y transformador de la investigación social, así como su necesaria integración en el quehacer del Trabajo Social y de otras disciplinas de las Ciencias Sociales como actividad esencial para fundamentar las intervenciones/interacciones con los individuos, grupos y comunidades, así como la construcción de conocimiento pertinente a los contextos y realidades humanas. Así mismo, la cátedra tiene como propósito fortalecer el desarrollo de competencias entorno a la investigación social entre los estudiantes del Programa Profesional en Trabajo Social del TdeA y difundir conocimiento sobre el tema entre la comunidad académica de la ciudad.
Objetivo General:
Reflexionar el sentido y valor de la investigación social para la formación y ejercicio del Trabajo Social y de otras disciplinas de las Ciencias Sociales.
Objetivos específicos:
- Reflexionar el sentido que tiene la investigación social como fundamento de las intervenciones/interacciones sociales de los y las Trabajadores Sociales y de la construcción de conocimiento pertinente.
- Promover la importancia de la investigación social entre los estudiantes del Programa Profesional en Trabajo Social del TdeA.
- Propiciar un espacio de conversación sobre los desafíos que conlleva la investigación social comprometida con las transformaciones sociales.
Dirigido a:
- Estudiantes y docentes del Programa Profesional en Trabajo Social del TdeA y de la Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Sociales.
- Personas interesadas de otras Facultades del TdeA y de otras instituciones de la ciudad.
Competencias a adquirir por los participantes:
- Los participantes reconocerán el valor y sentido de la investigación social en su quehacer como Trabajadores/as Sociales o profesionales de las Ciencias Sociales.
La cátedra permanente estará dirigida a los estudiantes del Programa Profesional en Trabajo Social, pero se espera impactar otros públicos tanto de la Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Sociales, como de la comunidad académica del Tdea y de la ciudad.

INTRODUCTION/PRESENTATION
The Permanent Lecture in Social Research: Maria Eumelia Galeano Marín, it is a space of academic reflection that seeks to promote the political and transformative sense of social research, as well as its necessary integration in the work of Social Work and other disciplines of the Social Sciences as an essential activity among the educational community of the TdeA and other institutions of the city. It also informs about interventions/interactions with individuals, groups and communities, as well as the construction of knowledge relevant to human contexts and realities. Likewise, the Lecture event aims to strengthen the development of skills around social research among students of the TdeA Professional Program on Social Work and to disseminate knowledge on the topic in the academic community of the city.
General Objective:
Reflect on the meaning and value of social research for education and exercise of Social Work and other disciplines of the Social Sciences.
Specific objectives:
- To reflect on the meaning of social research as the basis for the social interventions/interactions of social workers and the construction of relevant knowledge.
- To promote the importance of social research among students of the TdeA Professional Program on Social Work.
- To foster a space for conversation about the challenges of social research committed to social transformations.
Target:
- Students and teachers of the Professional Program in Social Work of the TdeA and the School of Education and Social Sciences.
- Interested persons from other Schools of the TdeA and other institutions in the city.
Competencies to be acquired by participants:
Participants will recognize the value and meaning of social research in their work as Social Workers or Social Science professionals.
The permanent chair will be addressed to students of the Professional Program in Social Work, but it is expected to impact other audiences from both the School of Education and Social Sciences, as well as the academic community of Tdea and the city.
