Un momento histórico, así calificó el rector del Tecnológico de Antioquia, Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, la firma de la escritura pública de un lote de 13.876 metros cuadrados en Itagüí, donado por la administración municipal, donde la Institución Universitaria construirá el campus universitario Aburrá Sur.
Con la suscripción de este documento, el 5 de abril, en la notaria primera de Itagüí, el TdeA incorporó el terreno a su patrimonio, cuya donación fue suscrita por el alcalde municipal, León Mario Bedoya López, mediante aprobación del Concejo de Itagüí, luego de considerar la pertinencia y el impacto positivo que tendrá para la comunidad la construcción de una nueva sede en el Sur del Valle de Aburrá.
Portocarrero Sierra anunció que, con la formalización de la escritura de este lote, ubicado en el sector de Ditaires, se iniciará el trámite para la licencia de construcción del campus, que se proyecta en tres etapas, con un bloque académico de 50 aulas, dotado con modernas tecnologías, con capacidad para más de 3.000 estudiantes; el área administrativa y amplias zonas de bienestar institucional.

A Historical Milestone: TdeA will Build a New University Campus in Itagui
A historical moment, this is how the Tecnológico de Antioquia, president, Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, described the signing of the public deed for a lot of 13,876 square meters in Itagui, donated by the municipal administration, where the University Institution will build the Aburrá Sur university campus.
With the signing of this document, on April 5, in the first notary offices of Itagüí, TdeA incorporated the land to its equity, whose donation was subscribed by the municipal mayor, Leon Mario Bedoya López, by approval of the Itagüí City Council. The announcement was made after considering the pertinence and the positive impact that the construction of a new campus in the South of the Aburrá Valley will have for the community.
Portocarrero Sierra also informed that, with the formalization of the deed of the lot, located in the Ditaires sector, the process for the construction license of the campus will start, which is projected in three stages, with a building for 50 classrooms, equipped with modern technologies, with capacity for more than 3,000 students; the administrative area and comfortable areas for institutional welfare.
